3 Hr Social Media Training for PDX Job Seekers, Nov 5th

by Joshua Waldman on October 7, 2009

I am teaching my 3 hr, new and improved, Social Media for Job Seeker’s class this November 5th at MindGlo.

MindGlo is a great new company dedicated to adult education. Where I grew up, we had The Learning Connection, and I used to love reading about all the cool new things I could learn.

I was surprised when I moved to Portland that there was no adult education company. So when Ken Lynch, owner and founder of MindGlo started up, I contacted him right away. They’ve got a great set of classes with some of our cities most talented as instructors.

Here is the blurb from my upcoming class with them:

Social Media for Your Job Search

If you are having trouble finding a new career, it may be because you don’t have the right relationships. Social media technologies, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, make it easy to form professional relationships that lead to jobs. This class teaches proven, powerful, and not widely known, techniques to get you to the job interview faster. It’s easy! Bring a laptop if you have one. Prerequisite: have a LinkedIn profile.

Thu, Nov 5, 6- 9 pm
Fee: $59
Location: Whole Foods Market – Fremont

    Josh,
I watch your webcast and was impressed. You mentioned a 5 step program that would soon be available. Is It? I am a novice with Linkedin and expect your videos will enhance my understanding.
