Joshua, this is another great tool for the job hunter’s toolbox. As Charlotte mentioned, persuasion techniques do not have to be evil. As long as you aren’t lying or misrepresenting your qualifications, it’s all good. And I’ll underline your point to be genuine. People can smell bullshit, and it will make them uneasy about hiring you.

Interesting! I’ve always thought of “persuasion” or “NLP” and those sorts of things as being necessarily disingenuous. I appreciate the fact that you and Susan are using persuasion in such a positive way, with the focus on delivering value.
